Orun is an international, peer-reviewed journal published annually in May by KAFADEMİ Scientific Research and Development Cooperative. The journal publishes articles in Turkish and English.

While its primary focus is lexicology, Orun accepts scientific studies from various linguistic fields—such as etymology, semantics, and morphology—provided they relate to lexicology. The journal also includes book reviews and introductions, research notes, interviews, translations, and critical editions of texts.

In line with its aim and scope, Orun seeks original studies that make new contributions to linguistic discussions related to lexicology and lexicography, adhering to rigorous scientific methods. Through this, the journal aims to contribute to the development of a scholarly body of knowledge that serves researchers and institutions working in lexicology, initially in Turkey and eventually worldwide.
