Orun is an international peer-reviewed academic journal published annually in May by KAFADEMİ Scientific Research and Development Cooperative. The journal is published in Turkish and English.

While the main focus of Orun is lexicography, it publishes scientific studies from all fields of language (etymology, semantics, morphology, etc.) related to lexicography. In addition, it includes book reviews and evaluations, research notes, interviews, translations, biography/monography and text publications.

It is important that the works to be published in line with the journal’s objectives and scope, and adhering to scientific methods provide new and original contributions to discussions in all areas of language and other social science disciplines, provided they pertain to lexicography and dictionaries. In this way, the aim is to contribute to the creation of a body of knowledge that will benefit individuals and/or institutions working in the field of lexicography, first in Türkiye and then worldwide.
